MIX MEDIA TAGS- WITH DMC STENCIL

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends,
Are you all ready for CHA 2018? With DMC Booth, very first time. I am super excited about it.
NAVJOT GUJRAL here with another post on one of the awesome product range from DRESS MY CRAFT- STENCILS (12 STENCILS OF BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS). Yes yet another huge successful product under DMC. So let’s focus on STENCILS!!!!! The size of stencils is super friendly- A4. Super versatile stencils, great to use on cards, scrapbooks, tags, bookmarks, fabric, canvas, art journals-  with Inks, Mediums, Acrylic colors, Sprays, Texture paste etc. etc. etc…………. sky is the limit. I was super excited to use the stencils for my latest MIXED MEDIA TAGS.

Coming to my tags, I made these with GRAPHIC45- Ivory Tags. Using only one stencil I created both. I have used THUMBPRINT STENCIL.

For the first tag, I have done a coat of heavy gesso- white on tag. Then I gave a thin coat of white crackle texture paste. Now it’s time to use my stencil, I used light paste here. Huge thumb print is perfect for a background to paste n enhance my focal point image- Butterfly.
I randomly colored my background with mica powders, pearl water colors, color burst. To highlight the raised area more, I used few prima waxes as well. I splattered few drops of white n black Lindy’s sprays. I stamped butterfly and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then colored it with pearl water colors.
I added few paper n metal embellishments and DMC cord underneath my butterfly. Pasted all together. I have also used super cute fashion accessories on my tag.
With glass glitter and micro beads I gave it finishing touch. Finished it with tying ribbons n cords.

Let’s move on second one. For the base of my tag I have used the same process as of first tag.
Here I have used the lines area of my stencil. Super awesome feeling with the result.
This time I colored my background with pearl water color and acrylic paint sparks- RAVEN BLACK from Prima. Also I randomly stamped a small butterfly image. To give more dramatic looks to my tag, I have splattered few drops of Black Gesso and White Lindy’s spray on my tags background.
I stamped same butterfly with black archival ink on DMC floral oriental collection and colored with same colors. Time to paste all things together. This time I have pasted Oval Diamond Tile and black cord underneath by butterfly. Again I also used my all time favorite clear drops to enhance the beauty of my tag.
With black glass glitter and silver micro beads I gave it finishing touch. Finished it with tying raffia and cord of black n white color.

See you all very soon, till than HAPPY CRAFTING……………………………………

For the love of Stencils

Hi Peeps !

Dress My Craft has launched some pretty amazing range of stencils and they are quiet a rage ! I was super excited to use the stencils for my latest mixed media creation , they would also be great to use on cards, scrapbooks, book marks, wooden objects or go wild and make some cushions for your home, refurbish an old table !

Coming to my creation, I made this canvas using two stencils - Vintage script and Distressed Blocks.

The canvas is gesso'ed in black and I used the Vintage script stencil with some heat embossing !    The bulb stamp used here has been designed by Bipasha and are perfect for mixed media projects !

I have used Distressed Blocks stencil with Finnabair's texture paste

MAGIC OF DOTS N STRIPES, PAPER PAD

Hello Everyone……………………………….
NAVJOT GUJRAL here with the very first post of mine of 2018. First of all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you. Have a great crafty year ahead. And again I want to share this big, big news that DRESS MY CRAFT is going to CHA……………….. TaDa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First Indian brand to get launched at CHA, WOW what a feeling. Proud moment for every Indian Crafter. So if you are there, don’t miss the chance to visit DMC booth.
Now onto my post, I have made two cards using my favorite paper pad- DOTS n STRIPES from DMC. I am madly in love with this paper pad. Trust me a must have in your collection.
For the first card, I have made base with DMC, floral oriental collection.
I have cut 6 squares from DOTS N STRIPES paper pad. Distressed the edges of all four sides with Prima tool. Pasted all on base, after that pasted beautiful lace from DMC. Also I added diamond chain silver.
I have taken a resin frame and covered it with Rainbow Glitter Chunks. OMG, breathtaking shine.  Finished it with cute pink bow and pasted it with beautiful flowers from DMC.
Few white splatters and clear drops, my card is ready.

For the second card, again I have made base with DMC, floral oriental collection.
As I told u earlier, I loved these papers a lot. So I wana do an experiment this time. I took green dots paper from same paper pad, I simply stamped three flowers with Black Archival Ink. And here is the fun part starts. I randomly colored my flowers with two-three shades of distress inks to give it a water color effect. Loved the result.
To give it more dramatic looks, I gave a coat of golden color too. Sheen is awesome.
With Memories Sentiment and clear drops, I finished my card.

Teenie Weenies Layout with a video.

Hello to all!!!

Let me begin by wishing you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! MAY THIS YEAR BRINGS LOADS OF LAUGHTER, FUN AND FROLIC AND AN OVERLOAD OF CRAFTY HAPPINESS!!!

I am still enjoying the dazed mood of the Christmas Crafty Spirit!!! What an event it was!!! A whole group of enthusiastic and happy crafters rearing to go, excited to learn and share !!! An event so beautifully and perfectly organised that it became the talk of the country for many days.
I am thankful to Shalini Mittal for believing in me and giving me the wonderful oppurtunity to teach at the feast. Also , I am thankful to all the students who patiently attended my card making workshop.

So what was the highlight of the Event !!! Of course it was the launch of many new products and there were many !!! Papers, stencils, flowers, beads and what not!!!

So let me show you some of these beauties that I have used today in my layout.
Its a beautiful mixed media layout using the New Teenie Weenies paper and stencils.
This paper stack is just too wonderful for words. In shades of vintage colours and the bright tiny floral background gives a lot of creative ideas to the mind. the paper has a smooth texture and is quite thick to take the gels and paints of the mixed media techniques.
The DMC stencils are perfect for card making and I loved them now for making this layout.

There is a video showing the step by step method for this layout . Please excuse the lack of proper lights as it was shot at late night .

So lets take a look .
