Chirping Birds Floral Cards

Hello Patricia here and today I am really excited to share some cards made using the really beautiful Chirping Birds papers from Dress My Craft.


I have made three tall cards for something different and decorated them with lots of flowers, birds and butterflies.  The motifs from the Dream Door collection coordinated perfectly with this paper collection.  I really love the purples and greens in the papers and tried to use these colours in the flowers and leaves.

For the first card I have used Copics to colour in the die from the Sentiments -Love die and then coloured another die before trimming the flower to add more dimension. 





For my second card I used a very simple colour combination of greens which allowed the butterflies to really pop.  I coloured the centres of the flowers from the Sentiment - Love die with Copics and then trimmed it to layer onto another die cut before putting the round dew drop in the centre.  




For my final card I have used purples, pinks and greens for a very colourful impact.  The light green flowers have been painted with some iridescent gel and sprinkled with Sparkling Dust for a beautiful pearlised finish to add contrast to the shiny sequins.
