Dress My Craft: Christmas Explosion Box

Hello everyone! It´s Silvana here. I´m so happy to be in the Dress my craft blog today sharing my work with all of you.

The most wonderful time of the year is coming! Yay! Christmas is the season to be grateful and generous and it´s time to think about gifts for our loved ones. So I decided to make this special “Magical wishing explosion box” that it´s perfect to make a thoughtful and original gift.

The idea is this: it´s an explosion box that when it opens, it has a cute ornament for the tree and a pocket with blank cards. The person who receives it has to write down three or four wishes and when he/she is hanging the ornament in the tree, he /she has to visualize the wishes and then… let the magic do the rest! Christmas is a magical time, when we are prone to believe in magic and be like kids again, waiting for Santa to come.

In this case, I used soft colours that resembles a more sophisticated Christmas and the touch of gold it´s what makes it very seasonal. In fact, the foiled paper with a grid it´s from the Magnolia Hues collection. I really challenged myself to use not so traditional colours to make this project, like the pretty cream and ivory cardstock from DMC.

I try to fill the box walls with details made with a lot of products. In the left, you can see a little shaker filled with the Christmas family set sequins. On the right, I used the snowman ornaments dies. In the bottom, I used a phrase from the Motivational quotes Transfer me sheet. In the box cover, you can see the Capital Alphabet dies, the Winter trees die and the Christmas set die.

Now, I challenge you to try this out and make a beautiful gift for a very special person.
