Glam up your projects - Dress My Craft Sequins

Hello Everyone,

Manu here sharing some fun and creative ways to use sequins in your projects to Jazz and glam them all up!!! I'm super happy and looking forward to all the fun and creativity that will be leashed out by the Dress My Craft first Design Team, which I'm sure you all are looking forward to. The team is focusing on working with the lovely sequins this month and I have a couple of projects to share today.

Sequins is one product that is of interest to each and every crafter, if you love all things blingly, nothing beats using the sequins in your products, if you more into watercoluring, give that extra touch with a couple of sequins, album maker, mixed media, dimensional projects etc etc, sequins does give that extra glamup touch to each and everything!

Sequins are the first product launched by Dress My Craft and these are a must have in your stash for making some ultra jazzy creations. They come in a wide range of colors and each jar has some assorted shapes to look forward to!! Take a peek here: Dress My Craft-Sequins. The sequins comes in cute jars and each jar contains around 25gms of sparkly goodness. The best part: each jar has some super cute shapes to look forward to and these are two-tone sparkly goodness that changes color tones at different angles making them a absolute sparkly affair to work with!!

Here are my projects!!

I have 4 projects to share with you and each one if different for each other.

I will share my most loved one first.

Kids room decor:

I altered a canvas to make a kiddie room decor, so this is a very very jazzy one! The girl is handdrawn first on the canvas with a pencil to mark my points and then have used acrylic paints to color.  I have kept this very very simple and not adding too much of mixed-media touches to this panel as I wanted it to be kids-centric and make it look bright and light.

The sky above the pretty girl is all covered with the Sequins!! Did you see the assorted shaped that comes in each jar. The sequins used here are Pink Pastel and Yellow Sunshine! I absolutely love the flowers in some jars and stars in some! The best thing about this panel, my little one absolutely adored it and declared that it's her on this frame so this has to be her's, which made me happy!

Mermaid theme card:
Another way to add highlight the cards is adding little touches of sequins and this is what I did with this cute Mermaid card made with Mudra stamps! Yes, you heard it right, Crafter's Corner now houses Mudra Craft stamps which is an Made in India brand and one which I'm very very proud off! So grab your share of this newest release from Mudra, only at Crafter's Corner.

The Mermaid is stamped on Dress My Craft Exotica paper and coloured using the Zig Markers, which are waterbased markers, b/w Crafter's Corner stocks up on Zig Markers also now and the best part, they are individually available too. The coloured images are fuzzy cut and arranged on the panel.

Th sequins completes the look of the whole card.

Did you notice the star shaped sequins in this Blossom with green jar? An absolute delight to look at!

Shaker Embellishments:

If you have been following my work, you must be aware that I love love love making albums and making shaker embellishments for the cover page of my baby albums is what I totally love to do!! These shaker embellishments are an integral part of making the albums and Dress My Craft sequins are a must have in these.

This cute little girl is from a penny black stamp, coloured with Zig's and fussy cut. I did a vibrant background with distress inks and added a sentiments for before I turned them into cute shakers!

Mixed Media Tag:

I'm not much of a mixed media person but I do try and give it a shot whenever I can. The background here is made with paper teared from an old book to give the tag a little texture. The tag is then distressed with Distress inks and stamped with a script stamp to add added interest! The butterflies are stamped, coloured and then put onto the tag. Add a sentiment and at last I sew around the tag to give it a little rugged look.

Thank you for checking out my work and I'm also sharing here a baby album which I did with these pretty sequins for you to enjoy!!!
