 This three-part altered MDF mixed media art is simple to make and looks absolutely stunning. You can use it to jazz up your home entryway for the upcoming festive season and I am sure it will be appreciated by one and all.

Here are the steps to re-create this beauty

Step 1. Give a coat of gesso to the MDF pieces. I am upcycling these wooden pieces that I already had. Cover the edges and the corners well to make it durable.

Step 2. Pick a pattern paper of your choice. I am using the stunning Pink Smoke Collection here. I love the papers in this collection. So soft and pretty! Adhere the pattern paper using a gel medium.

Step 3. Trim off the excess paper once it is dry and using the Dress My Craft Ledger Stencil, add some texture randomly on the MDF pieces.

Step 4. Add some color once the stenciled areas are dry using mists or acrylics to make it stand out. I used Dylusions and Mists from Tattered Angels in blue and purple respectively.

Step 5. Leave it to dry. In the meantime, prepare the flowers. I used the Dress My Craft Floral Oriental Paper with Dress My Craft Flower Making Dies #1 to create the flowers. You can find the video tutorial for these HERE.

Step 6. Prepare more die cuts using the Foliage and Leaves Dies #5 and #11. Start layering and adhering all the embellishments in place.

Last but not least, using some soft clear gel add the Angel mix sequins to a few places to really jazz up this piece of art.
