Dream Door Collection - Wooden Sign Decor

Hello there crafty friends!  It's Amanda here and today I'm sharing with you this beautiful wooden sign decor that I made using the newly released Dream Door Collection Kit!

Keep scrolling to see the process photos.  A list of all products are at the very end of the post!

I am starting with a blank wooden sign from Darice:

I am using the Dream Door Collection Kit and trimming down pieces to fit each rectangle.

On the top rectangle, I'm using a pencil to mark the hole locations.

I'm using my 1/4" Hand Punch to cut the circles.

I am using liquid glue to adhere the paper to the sign.

I'm using the Carte Postal stencil and some embossing paste to create texture on each of the rectangles.

I am cutting off the existing twine and adding my own blue twine to match the paper collection.

Now, I'm going to start fussy cutting and die cutting out some elements to put on the decor.
I'm grabbing the LOVE sentiment from the Kissing Boy & Girl die set.

Next, I'm using the Tropical Swirls dies.

I'm also doing a few of the Foliage & Leaves #8 dies.

I'm also fussy cutting/tearing some of the motif sheets from the Kit.

Another die - Foliage and Leaves #13.

And one more... Foliage and Leaves #3!

I'm also going to make a few flowers!  I am using the Soft Floral Oriental Paper and the Curved Flower dies.

Now I'm ready to start adhering everything.  I am using 3D foam squares, liquid glue, and my hot glue gun.

Here are a few more photos of the finished project!  For a complete list of products used, keep scrolling to the bottom!

Shrink Prink Treasure Chest

Hello beautiful friends!
We are back in business at Dress My Craft and I'm SO looking forward to sharing more crafty projects with you!  I hope you're all staying healthy and sane during this crazy time!  I have had extra time to craft lately and have really enjoyed an empty schedule!

To make this beautiful treasure box, I am starting with a wooden box from Hobby Lobby.

I'm starting with some embossing paste, the Vintage Hearts stencil, and the Artist Canvas stencil, and some lace.  This is to create some texture underneath the paint.

Next, I'm using white acrylic paint to paint over the entire box.

To create some more layers, I'm cutting out some paper from the In My Heart paper pad.  I am using the Crochet Lace Border die and the Foliage and Leaves #9 die.  I am adhering it to my box with Mod Podge.

I'm also using the Flower Chain Border Punch and the Tropical Swirls Die.

While I'm letting that dry, I am going to make some Shrink Prink flowers and leaves.  The leaves are from the Curved Flower dies and the flowers are from the Pointed Daisy Flower dies.  I am using Copic markers to color them on the glossy side.

I'm also going to stamp some images with StazOn ink (on the glossy side of the Shrink Prink) and color them with the colored pencils on the matte side.  I'm using the 1/8" Hand Punch to add holes to each image after I cut them out with scissors.

After using a heat tool to shrink my images, I am attaching them to an Acrylic Chain with some jewelry tools.

Once my treasure chest is dry, I attach my flowers, leaves, swirls, and butterfly to the front and inside using a hot glue gun.  And voila!!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my post!  I hope you enjoyed crafting along with me!
Until next time!  Xoxo, Amanda
