Shrink Prink Treasure Chest

Hello beautiful friends!
We are back in business at Dress My Craft and I'm SO looking forward to sharing more crafty projects with you!  I hope you're all staying healthy and sane during this crazy time!  I have had extra time to craft lately and have really enjoyed an empty schedule!

To make this beautiful treasure box, I am starting with a wooden box from Hobby Lobby.

I'm starting with some embossing paste, the Vintage Hearts stencil, and the Artist Canvas stencil, and some lace.  This is to create some texture underneath the paint.

Next, I'm using white acrylic paint to paint over the entire box.

To create some more layers, I'm cutting out some paper from the In My Heart paper pad.  I am using the Crochet Lace Border die and the Foliage and Leaves #9 die.  I am adhering it to my box with Mod Podge.

I'm also using the Flower Chain Border Punch and the Tropical Swirls Die.

While I'm letting that dry, I am going to make some Shrink Prink flowers and leaves.  The leaves are from the Curved Flower dies and the flowers are from the Pointed Daisy Flower dies.  I am using Copic markers to color them on the glossy side.

I'm also going to stamp some images with StazOn ink (on the glossy side of the Shrink Prink) and color them with the colored pencils on the matte side.  I'm using the 1/8" Hand Punch to add holes to each image after I cut them out with scissors.

After using a heat tool to shrink my images, I am attaching them to an Acrylic Chain with some jewelry tools.

Once my treasure chest is dry, I attach my flowers, leaves, swirls, and butterfly to the front and inside using a hot glue gun.  And voila!!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my post!  I hope you enjoyed crafting along with me!
Until next time!  Xoxo, Amanda
