Winter Village Featuring Christmas Bells Collection

Hello Friends! Shannon here with a winter wonderland project to share with you.  Before we get started, I'd like to wish everyone that celebrates a very Happy Thanksgiving! This is a time to count our blessings and I'm so grateful for being a Brand Ambassador for Dress My Craft! And of course, I'm grateful for all of you too!

If you'd like to follow me on social media, my links are:

Without further ado, here is my winter village featuring the stunning Christmas Bells collection!

I had so much fun making this village! I covered the houses and trees with the Christmas Bells paper. I added snowflake paste on the sides and backs of everything and of course covering the ground!

To make it look more like snow, I also added Micro Sparkling Dust, Rainbow Glitter Chunks, and Flower Pearls in Snow White!

I fussy cut a lot of images from the coordinating Christmas Bells Motif Sheet.  I just love the red doors and the Santa with reindeer, which I added to the rooftop of one of the houses.

I took the new Carnival Candies and glued them to toothpicks that I cut to size and made little lollipops!  I think they are so cute!

I used one of the new Christmas Dies called Christmas Strings.  It is amazing!  You can use the die cut as is or cut out the small images!

I really hope you like my project! Here are a few more photos:

Thanks for your time and happy crafting!
xoxo,
Shannon

Magical Unicorn cards for you !!!

Hello Friends!!!

This is Anita here with another post full of super cute projects. It's the day for the Magical Unicorn and I have three pretty cards made with this amazing collection.

Unicorns are a favorite with everyone and if you have three different cutie unicorns on your table, then all you do is smile . I am simply in love with this paper pack . The beautiful rainbow designs, clouds and castle and the dancing baby unicorns will steal your heart for sure .
The papers are sturdy and smooth to touch making them perfect for albums, money wraps and cards .
If you want to make albums with this paper pack , then follow my post here , where I have used the Little Miracle baby themed paper pack .

Today I have three cards that are not only good to look but are so easy that they make really good creative pass time especially for children . So let your kids use this pack and the die cuts to make the Magical Unicorn cards this summer vacation.

Here are my cards .

For this card, I have used the pattern paper as background. I used some die cut clouds in card stock and vellum and added the ready die cuts . I also added some rainbow glitter powder and some DMC sequins here . Can you see the sparkling effect here ???

Here I have taken a die cut background on the colourful rainbow paper. Then just added the die cut pieces to finish it . You can make them in 10 minutes !!!!!

This is my favorite as I love making Shaker cards . I simple created a Shaker window using half circle die. I added a banner die cut and set it all agsinst the pink pattern paper card base . This looks so pretty !!!. I finished it with some sparkle rainbow glitter .

Supplies used

Other products --white card stock, sentiment stamps, glossy accents, foam tape. dies from stash. transparent paper, vellum paper.

So now it's your chance to grab this awesome paper pack and the coordinating die cut pack . Make your projects and do share with us .

Magical wand and a pop up card + Tutorial

Hi Creative Peeps

I am in a  festive and merry mood, of course its that time of the year again ! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

This season I had been hooked to making lovely wands and when the Magical Unicorn papers from Dress My Craft arrived, I couldn't help myself but make one !! And instantly thought of using the most gorgeous glitters from DressMyCraft to make the magic come alive.

The unicorn craze has taken me over since long , could I stop at just a wand? ! Of course, not !! So I also have a pop up card to share with you all today. Both the projects have a step by step easy to follow instructions. Just scroll ahead !

This is what we'll be making-

For the wand, here are the measurements that are tried and tested several times :P

I use 2 strips of 3"x12" strips and 2 strips of 1.5"x12" strips in papers of your choice.

Now here I had to admit that the Dress My Craft scoring tool made my life much easier compared to previously owned , especially with this step where I  make score lines that are just .25" wide on the four strips of paper cut above in the first step.

I have folded the paper strips along score lines to make hill and valley fold. And generously sprinkled with sparkling dust and rainbow chunky glitter.

Here I started to arrange the folded strips on a small piece of round chipboard. I have used one strip to cover one half hemisphere of the wand and the second strip to cover lower half hemisphere.

In the next step I have arranged the two smaller strips in the same manner and fitted it to align with the existing folds of large strip.

Magical unicorn die cuts from Dress My Craft , some flowers from stash, feathers, a horn and an ornate chipboard flourish finish off the wand I have a stick covered in washi tape ready to be stuck at the back of wand.

Here is a close up and of course in day light ! Sorry, lighting Seattle is not too good, hence the pictures above ! :P

And voila ! Something magical came up

Are you getting the unicorn vibes already ! Lets hop on to the next project which is a pop up card

For the pop up card , please note down the above measurements and get your pattern paper ready.
Here I have used Floral Oriental cardstock from DressMyCraft for the base.

That's how the box card will come along when stuck at the ends and with patter paper in place.

These are some die cuts and fussy cutting from Magical unicorn paper pad. Note the transparency strips I have cut to stick them to my card.

This is how I have arranged the die cuts with transparencies on the strips of paper placed inside the box card.

And again ! Magic ....!

I hope you enjoyed looking at these today, feel free to ask any questions in the comments below and don't forget to check out the products used along with links from where you can directly buy .

Whimsical Fairy Garden Chair

Hi Friends,

This is Shubhra here today sharing some inspiration on the blog with the brand new Whimsical Hues paper pack launched by Dress My craft. Let me tell you a little about the this paper pad , its a beautiful combination of floral designs in whimsical hues along with some stunning vintage images, very versatile to play with, you can start on something that is completely shabby chic with a whimsical feel to it or add some old world charm with vintage images.

For my project today, I have picked soft color palette and created a whimsical fairy garden chair. I call it so because it seems a perfect addition to my garden , inviting the garden fairies to come and sit in this beautiful chair. Have a look !

The top of the adriondack chair that I altered. I have done a lot of Fussy cutting and die cutting from the paper pack to make embellishments for the chair. There is a tinkerbell that you sure can't miss !

Some garden butterflies that are literally flying around.

A few close ups !
