DIY Doily Card

Hello Everyone, Design Team member Heena here back on the Dress My Craft blog with my second post for this month. Today I have a cute and simple card to share along with a step by step pictorial.

For this card, I have used the Hydrangea lawns paper collection which is one of my personal favourites with beautiful blues and purples along with the dress my craft classic doily die. Now let's have a look at how to make this doily card.

Cut the pattern papers of your desired card size, you will need one for the card front and two more slightly larger for matting.

Die-cut a few doilies from another contrasting pattern paper using the Classic doily die.

After cutting the doilies place them on the card to see where you want to stick them and make a small marking and die cut those areas using the same die.

After the cutting is done you will be left with a paper with die-cut negatives. Then Adhere the pattern paper on white cardstock or another pattern paper of the same size.

Now stick the die-cut doilies and trim the excess off the sides.

Similarly, I have created another card base using different pattern papers from the same collection.

Finish the card by adding some flowers and sentiments and matt it on another pattern paper.
The images and sentiment are fussy cut from the coordinating motif sheet.
The flowers are created using the Curved flower die. I have used the dress my craft Lilac pastel thread pollen for the flower centre.
I have also used the tropical swirls die. The flowers are dusted with Dress my craft rainbow glitter. you can find a detailed list of materials below!
