Slimline card with the Hydrangea Lawns paper pack

 "Hello and welcome to you today with my first inspiration for Dress My
Craft. I created a lovely card, in DL format, for many occasions. I
used a beautiful and romantic collection of  "Hydrangea Lawns" papers.
In my projects, I use a lot of paper elements for cutting out, so with
great pleasure I cut additional sheets with fussy cuts elements,
including a cute little bird. I complimented the composition with
elements cut out with dies in the shapes of small napkins and swirls.
I sprinkled it all with magical sequins and sugar powder.

Mixed Media Canvas - DressMyCraft Punches with Bipasha | Video Tutorial

Dimensional Cards - Mini tutorial

Hello art enthusiasts!

I hope you are have been enjoying all the gorgeous posts from my fellow DT members. And did you have a chance to go through the new line of miniatures from DMC? If not, here is the link. You will be amazed by their beauty and cuteness!

So, for today's post I have designed two dimensional cards for you using the Oriental cardstock and Hydrangea lawns patterned paper from DMC. I have used fussy cutting, layering, die-cutting techniques and created a fun and easy background with some Jane Davenport journal tape.
Hope you enjoy them.

Card 1:

1. For this, I prepped the black cardstock by adding strips of journal tape from Jane Davenport. It's a easy and smart way to create a background.

2. Then I layered my die-cuts and your second card is ready in less than 10 mins! Isn't is fab?

Card 2:

1. I stamped a julie Nutting doll on some co-ordinating cardstocks and fussy cut it.

2. I layered the cut-outs to add a 3D effect.

3. I added random layering using some die-cuts from the same Hydrangea papers.

Voila you have a classy card ready in a few minutes time!

Mixed media card + Step by step tutorial

Hi Lovelies

For my creation today I have made a mixed media card with an easy step by step tutorial for you to follow.

I have used a 6x6 inch sheet from the paper pad and used stencils with modelling paste, randomly used the script stamp and sprayed on Lindy's. For my card I have colored a lavender chipboard with purple and green paint. Some stamped images with distressed edges have been fussy cut to build layers.

This is how I started to build my card by creating layers. I have also heat embossed the chipboard to add some depth.

I have used finnabair's art glitter in purple and yellow at some places .

A metal charm with Finnabair's glass glitter in golden adorns the card.

Fly away Mini Album using the Hydrangea Lawns paper pack + mini tutorial !

Hello Everyone!

Manu here and I have a new shaped mini to share with you all today!! It's a decor plus it doubles up as a mini album too. I also have a mini tutorial on how I made few portions of this shaped mini. 
This mini is shaped in the form of a hot air balloon and the top portion also houses slots to stick pictures and a few message tags!

Papers are a crafter's delight and Dress My Craft's Hydrangea Lawns paper are no exception. The lovely blue hues will give you the burst of freshness !
Between, the Hydrangea Lawns paper pack comes in 2 sizes now, a 12*12 inch paper pack and a 6*6 inch paper pack catering specially to the people who are adherent card makers.
Now over to my project, I have a Shaped mini in a form of a Hot Air balloon and yes, it's exiting ! I went overboard which clicking the pictures and I'm sure that you would like this little creation of mine.
Here's how it looks.

I couldn't resist making this cute little kitty's sit in there and have fun !

They look fab, don't they?

Lets get started with how I made this album into a hot air balloon 

1. Take a MDF mini, I chose a heart shape one and took 2 of the chipboards along with the front ones.

   

2.  Dab white gesso at the edges to give it a shabby effect. Cut papers from the Hydrangea Lawns paper pack as per the side of the heart shape chipboard album. 




3. I did a little shimmer spray in green and blue hues to match up with the papers.

  
  4. To make the base of the hot air balloon, take a circle die cut as per the size of the holder you want and then cut it into half to get 2 semi circles. Along with it take a elongated strip of paper measuring 4*8 inches approx and score it at .5 inch and 3.5 inch. The .5 inch gaps where it's scored at both the ends, cut small fringes on the border. These fringes will help give the base to the holder. Once the fringes is done, put tacky tape and then stick this to the semi circle along the curved portion from both the ends, you will end up having a pram kind of a structure which now becomes the holder for the kitty's to sit in.

   
Tadaa, embellish as per your choice and your sail away with me mini is ready!

These are the insides of the mini album and I have kept them pretty simple to have some pictures and the mini messages to keep in.

Oh yes, there are some gorgeous additions to the Bubblegum accessories and I have a bonus project to share with you! The pretty accessories on the cover of the new pregnancy journal that I had a chance to make.

The best part is that these accessories are bell sounding ones and they look pretty nice with such variety of shapes and of course, the sound is another plus point!

ELEGANT CARDS WITH 6X6 HYDRANGEA LAWNS PAPER

HELLO!!!!!

Welcome all to the Dress My Craft blog. Words fail me as I look at the beautiful products introduced by DMC and these are truly a crafters' delight.
Papers always mesmerise crafters and we card makers are always on the look out for perfect papers that have beautiful designs, good thickness and excellent quality.

So after the 12x12 Hydrangea Lawns from Dress My Craft , there is the 6x6 paper pad of similar design that is just perfect for card making and mini albums.

Here are a few cards that I have made using this paper pad. I love cards and had so much fun creating them from this beautiful paper pack.

See them on display here and you will realise the beauty and simplicity of these cards that has been enhanced because of the Hydrangea Lawns .

This card is my favourite. It measures 6" x 6" and has the hydrangea bunches fussy cut from the paper and arranged giving a popped up effect using silicon glue. I created this card in just 15 minutes and was too happy to see the results.

So breathtaking is the floral design of the Hydrangea Lawns paper, that it can be used as background for any card. I have highlighted my design by adding a few die cuts from Amazing Paper Grace . Look how awesome the die cuts stand out against the bright background.

 This card is elegant and simple and yet a beautiful piece. Look at the hydrangea bunches pop up against the subtle water colour background.

Lastly, a few  bunches of handmade Hydrangeas enhance the beautiful card as they are displayed on the Botanic Window by Heartfelt Creations.

Mini diary

Hello craft enthusiasts,
How have you been? I have a new share for you today.
I have designed an 8-page mini diary measuring 3x4". It uses one one sheet of 12x12" kraft paper, the very glamorous Hydrangea Lawns paperback and bubble gum accessories. It can be altered, inked, stickered, and journaled. It makes a great calendar, going away gift, Mother's Day mini album, etc...the ideas are endless!

Here is a mini template of the no sew inner pages for your understanding and to re-create the diary. I have glued the (back) of the following layout (created with the kraft page) to the album cover.
