Enjoy Little Moments-Treat Basket Tutorial

Dear Friends,

Shalini Pahwa here todayThe October month marks the beginning of the Winter season. It is also the beginning of a protracted festival season. It is the time of the year where we not only invite light into our homes by lighting our candles and fireplaces, but also bringing light into our lives by inviting our friends and family over to share in laughter, music, singing, dancing, food and drink.

We, of-course, cannot do so this year due to the pandemic, but nothing can still stop us from expressing our love for our family & friends.

With the idea of remembering your loved ones and giving them something that they cherish during the upcoming festivals, I have created this TREAT BASKET.

This basket has been created using 'Dress My Craft' pattern paper & dies. I have used beautiful "Dress My Craft-Me Collection-Chirping Bird". The basket is decorated with Daisy flowers, also constructed using Dress My Craft dies. Daisy flower represents innocence, new and fresh beginnings and life. So in these times, when the whole world seems to be covered in a sense of gloom, let such creations and gifts to your friends re-ignite the spirit of love that the world so desperately needs.

Below is the step by step procedure to make the Treat Basket :
Take card-stock size 9"x 8" and score at 2"on all four sides and cut, as seen on picture below...

Take patter paper from "Dress My Craft Me Collection-Chirping Bird" and adhere them all the sides.

Cut three Dress My Craft-Crochet Doily on white card-stock and color them using archival ink-majestic violet and distress ink-walnut stain and two on gold card-stock.  Cut two more Crochet Doily Die on white cardstock and cut them in half and adhere them on the base of the basket, as seen on picture...

For handles, cut one strip white card-stock size 1"x12" and pattern paper size .75" (cut two of these in pattern paper) and adhere it n white card-stock strip.
Cut eight crochet lace border die on white card-stock and make four pairs.

Cut leaves die on dress my craft pattern paper and distress the edges using archival ink-leaf green, using same ink-color at the back also.

Cut few daisy die flower on Dress My Craft Soft Oriental paper and color them using archival ink-sunflower, magenta hue and majestic violet, soak them in water for few seconds and shape them using dress my craft-golf groove tool, Add flower pearls-golden at the centre.

Assemble all these elements together, add some ribbon and sequins and decoration of treat basket is ready...
I hope you all will love this tutorial and Do share your creations. Do also let me know how you like my creation.

Artistic Kettle with Dress My Craft Transfer Me

 Dear Friends,

Shalini Pahwa here today, Every one of us may have many items at home which were a part of their daily lives but which are no longer in use. These articles can be converted into pretty and artistic decoration pieces or collectibles or even as gifts to your loved ones in the upcoming festive season.

Today I am presenting one such creation. I have recycled a discarded kettle into a piece of art through use of paints and 'Transfer Me' sheets of Dress My Craft.

To make this attractive piece, I took the disused kettle and applied white gesso to create the base. I then applied white chalk paint. After the paint dried, I applied various designs from 'Transfer Me' sheets of Dress My Craft to create a lovely combination of birds, butterflies, roses and thought-provoking sentiments. I also used stencils to create attractive designs on the base and the handle of the kettle.

Use this gorgeous piece of art as a decoration piece or an inspiration collectible. It may also be used as a gift to your dear friends, family or even your boss.

I am sure you all would use 'Transfer Me' sheets of Dress My Craft to make such adorable pieces of art from your discarded products. Do share your creations. Do also let me know how you like my creation.

Have A Great Day!!!

FRESHNESS AT YOUR DOOR - a unique crafty Door Knob Hanger with Dress My Craft-Transfer Me

Dear Friends,

Shalini Pahwa here, Today I present to you a unique craft item which will enthrall all your visitors. I am calling it "Freshness at your Door". It is a crafty Door Knob hanger, very simple to make but which is so unique that it would not only captivate all your visitors but is also a mesmerizing gift for your loved ones.

I have taken a MDF door hanger with a small MDF box like space. I have used an exclusive and enchanting product of Dress My Craft called "Transfer Me-Dream Door". These are sheets of gorgeous designs and motifs which can be easily transferred to any surface (the procedure required to transfer these designs is mentioned on the back of the sheets).

The complete collection of 'Transfer Me' sheets have a variety of designs and you can use one or more such designs to create your own inimitable craft statement.

After creating the base of the door hanger by using different motifs, I have then added flowers, dry moss, leaves and some bright glitter balls along with Dress My Craft-stencil, to welcome your guest with a pleasant garden-like crafted door hanger - Fresh & Distinctive way of welcoming.

I am sure you would like my creation and would try making use of these wonderful 'Transfer Me' sheets to create your own unique door hanger.

Would love to receive your feedback & pics of your creation.

Mini-Moo Baby Album

Dear friends

Shalini Pahwa here today,A new baby in the house always brings cheer to the whole family. The homecoming of the little one, baby's first cry, first word, first step, lullabies, baby's feeding sessions – every small incidence of the new born is a memory parents cherish throughout their lives. So let’s celebrate this best year in a parent’s life by presenting a baby photo album 8"x8" - a collection of choicest moments and memories for a mother from her last days before delivering the bundle of joy to the baby's first birthday.

Inspired by the thoughtful pattern paper by Dress my Craft, called “Mini Moo Paper Collection” – a collection of neatly compiled baby theme papers, die-cut embellishments and sentiments to define the milestones for the first year of your little one. In fact, in order to create this handmade album or any other baby theme products like bags, baskets or baby party cards, this pattern paper collection has all the elements that you may require.

I have given this handmade album a lovely baby room theme with curtains made from the "Whispering Love" pattern paper. Besides the curtain, I have used shaker elements of Dress My Craft to create a base on which I have pasted a fussy-cut baby drawing. The word BABY also is from the Dress My Craft-Funky Alphabets Die. The lace on the curtain pelmet has also been made using Dress My Craft Crochet Lace Border Die.

Inside the album I have made separate sections of the mother's days before delivery, the baby's homecoming and each month's milestones of the cute little one. Each section used various elements also from Dress My Craft Mini Moo pattern paper and motif sheets.

I am sure you would like this album and use your own creative techniques to create something using this amazing product of Dress My Craft.

Would love to have your opinions on my creation.

Have A Great Day!!!
