Rainbow cake

Hello, my dear crafty friends!

Jasmina today on the blog. I was inspired by Magical Unicorn paper collection to make this vibrant and colorful project. I decided to make a paper cake with 12 cake slices, with a rainbow as a shaker element on top.

While making my rainbow, I came across an idea to make rainbow-colored roses. And I am glad I did it because I absolutely love the result. They are colored with 10 different shades of ink pads. It took me so much time, but it was worth it.

All the flowers are made with Soft Floral Oriental Collection. For the roses, I used Ruffled Roses Cutting Dies, and for the small white flowers, I used Six Petal Flower die set.


I used Magical Unicorn 12"x12" paper pad for the base of the cake slices. Fussy cut elements belong to Magical Unicorn Motif Sheets and the sentiment belongs to 6"x6" paper pad.


I used Nesting Circles die set to create my rainbow.


The leaves are made with Foliage & Leaves #5 die set. I have also used Classic Doily die, Tropical Swirls die set, and Embossing Folder with Heart Pattern for the lids of the cake slices.


I put in my shaker rainbow a lot of elements. White, pink, and purple flower pearls, together with a bunch of shaker slices and sequins.




In the end, I sprinkled all over my cake with Rainbow glitter, which gave it a more fairytale look.

"Secret garden" feat. My Vintage Lady paper collection

Hello, my dear crafty friends!

Jasmina today again with you. This month we brand ambassadors are creating 3d projects.

I have decided to alter a plain white box into a gift box. It has turned out so beautiful. My idea was originally just to create a 3d butterfly on top of the box, surrounded with flowers, but I just couldn't stop creating and putting things together.

Besides my Lady Butterfly, I  created a small garden with thousands of flowers. I made a garden arch and created flower clusters underneath. 








I have also decorated the inside of the box. I put a smaller box for jewelry on the bottom and of course surrounded it with lots of flowers.

THE VINTAGE TEAPOT

Dear Friends

Shalini Pahwa here today, You would all agree with me that a mother’s love is unlike any other and this one-of-a-kind relationships can never be compared with anything in the world. A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend. Mothers are like glue who hold the family together.



Today as I remember my creator, I wished to give her something of my own creation which she would cherish forever, I thought of creating an “Exotic Teapot’ out of the lovely" My Vintage Lady" range of pattern paper from ‘Dress My Craft’.

To create this ‘Vintage Teapot’, besides the Dress My Craft pattern paper, I have also used Three Petal Pointed Flower die of Dress My Craft  to create the lovely flowers which adorn the teapot. I have also used the My Vintage Lady motif sheet to fussy cut Foliage & Leaves dies of Dress My Craft Daisy Border Punch,to decorate my teapot.








In the ‘Vintage Teapot’ I placed a couple of chocolates and a few exotic tea bags that my Mom just loves. This I am sure would be a perfect way to say to her that I love her the most.





I hope you like my creation and would try something similar to create something for your mother.

Flower bouquet / Video tutorial

 For this project, I decided to try something I had in mind for quite a long time. And I am glad I tried because I absolutely love the result. My mission was to make something that I can give as a gift to my friend or a family member. I have no problem making flowers but how to arrange them that they are suitable to give as a gift, that wandered me.

 I received several messages regarding the flowers in my previous project, so I made a tutorial on how to make them included in this video 

As a result, I ended up with not only one but five bouquets to give to my precious ones. I kindly invite you to watch my video tutorial in which you will see how to create a base for a bouquet using a paper doily.
